Imperial War Museum North's vision is to act as a springboard to learning.

The Museum is an excellent resource for you to use for both informal and formal learning, either through a self-managed visit or a museum-led session or ideally a combination of the two.

Our exhibitions, including the Big Picture Shows, are complemented by a wide collection of physical resources such as artefacts, photographs, documents, posters, film, etc. Together they provide an excellent stimulus for a multi-disciplinary approach to all curriculum areas.
