| Volunteers at Imperial War Museum North |
The Volunteer Programme at Imperial War Museum North has been established since the museum opened in 2002. Over the years we have recruited over 200 individuals from the local community to join our award-winning volunteer scheme.
In February 2008 we partnered up with The Manchester Museum to run the ‘In Touch’ Volunteer Programme. Read below to find out more.
If you are ready to take a positive step then volunteering at Imperial War Museum North or The Manchester Museum could be a great starting place. It will help you gain the confidence and experience to move into employment, further learning or other volunteering.
As a volunteer you will:
- Meet new people from the local area
- Develop confidence and learn new skills
- Find out about museums
- Follow a 10 week training course
- Brush up on your English skills
You don’t need any previous experience – you just need to want to find out more.
