Imagine dining under a suspended Harrier jump-jet, making a presentation with the backdrop of an historic artillery piece or dancing beside a T34 Russian tank: this is one of the most unusual and impressive event venues in the UK.


Our Main Exhibition Space can cater for up to 380 for dinner, up to 350 for a dinner dance and up to 700 for a reception. If you require theatre-style, we can seat up to 300 people. We also have spaces in the museum ideally suited to smaller, more intimate gatherings.

Imperial War Museum North’s exclusive caterer is Milburns. Their renowned chefs have a talent for creative, imaginative menus, tailored to your individual needs. Superb results are delivered consistently, whether the requirement is for appetizing canapés or a full, themed banquet. Excellent Kosher and Halal options are also available. Naturally, you are welcome to sample the high standard of dishes for yourself before your event.
