'In the Spotlight' illuminates a unique object from the Museum's Collections for a limited period of time and explores the fascinating stories behind it.
On display this year is Special Operations Executive agent Odette Hallowes's pistol. Odette Hallowes was arrested in May 1944 and was imprisoned in Ravensbrück concentration camp. She seized the pistol from Fritz Suhren, the camp commandant, when he handed her over to Allied forces in April 1945. |
